Eight genes (ZIC2, ESR1, PAFAH1B3, TNNT1, CDCA7, HMGA2, MYRIP, and FCER1G) were included to construct a TEXSRGs-score that could accurately predict the prognosis of HCC according to the following formula: TEXSRGs-score = (0.1298 × ZIC2) + (0.0349 × TNNT1) + (0.0371 × CDCA7) + (0.00487 × HMGA2) + (0.0691 × PAFAH1B3)—(0.01806 × MYRIP) + (0.1883 × FCER1G)—(0.0395 × ESR1). Here, PAFAH1B3 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
