Histological examination confirmed the pronounced recruitment of inflammatory cells to the lung tissues in CRE-treated Mettl3 KO mice, detecting dense peribronchial infiltrates, goblet cell hyperplasia, and mucus secretion (Fig. 1e, f), indicating that METTL3 may play a protective role during the pathogenesis of allergic asthma.
