The CD3(-) NK cells, including the percentages of CD56(+) and CD16(+), were significantly (p<0.001) reduced in SLE patients (12.35%, and 18.7%) as compared to controls (24.67%, and 46.6%). On ROC curve analysis, cut-off values <481/cumm with sensitivity of 86.7% and specificity of 84.4% for CD3(-) NK cells (p<0.001), <23% with 60% sensitivity and 75% specificity for CD56(+) NK cells (p<0.001), and <29% with sensitivity of 70% and specificity of 87.5% for CD16(+) NK cells (p<0.001) were noted. Here, NCAM1 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
