One of the MYC regulating genes in both core enrichment and brown module, TRAF6 (TNF receptor-associated factor 6 protein) is generally overexpressed in MDS and was attributed to hematopoietic progenitor cell defects, but its expression declined and dysfunction in a subset of AML patients (Muto et al., 2022). Here, MYC is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
