Regarding the variables included in the formula of the NAFLD test, the data between patients and controls, respectively, were the following: BMI (kg/m2) 30.6 (29.6—36.7) vs. 30.0 (28.8 – 31.8) (p = 0.077); cholesterol (mg/dl) 214 ± 7 vs. 226 ± 8 (p = 0.282); ALT (U/l) 45.5 (30.3 – 60.0) vs. 17.0 (13.0 – 23.0) (p < 0.001); and CRP (mg/l) 4.8 ± 0.9 vs. 3.9 ± 0.4 (p = 0.309). Here, CRP is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
