The level of RPL10 UFMylation was two- to three-fold higher in PAAD tumors than adjacent normal tissues, and UFL1 KO or UfSP2 overexpression resulted in decreased rates of cell proliferation in PANC-1 and Mia PaCa-2 cells, indicating that RPL10 UFMylation can enhance cell stemness for PAAD development [28].
