Alterations in other DEPs—peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase NIMA-interacting 1 (PIN1), CD44 antigen (CD44), and putative tyrosine-protein phosphatase auxilin (DNAJC6)—coincide with what has been reported in the literature in relation to PD, which makes our analysis reliable (Supplementary Data 1E). Here, CD44 is linked to Parkinson disease.
