CCL2 and Zika virus infectious disease: TLR3 signaling was induced by ZIKV infection in both microglia and astrocytes, leading to increased NF-κB and PERK phosphorylation, which triggered the high production of several proinflammatory cytokines involved in the inflammatory process, such as IL-6, IL-1α, IL-4, IL-10, IL-8, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), RANTES, IFN-β, and transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) [158] (Fig. 1).
