Although we did not verify the downstream targets of the PI3K-AKT-mTOR axis in this study, we can speculate, based on the GSEA and pathological examination, that the PI3K-AKT-mTOR axis contributes to reducing cardiomyocyte death, minimizing myocardial infarction, and maintaining metabolism and morphology.
