While we are concluding the potential biomarkers for predicting drug therapy response in ITP patients, the plasma levels of APOA1, VTDB, and TRFE were shown to be positively correlated with response to the first-line therapy of ITP patients, but further validation and investigation using larger patient cohorts are necessary before clinical relevance. The gene discussed is APOA1; the disease is autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura.
