Engström et al. 25 recently performed a cohort study that used nationwide registers in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden and reported that the use of SGLT2 inhibitors (n = 79 343), compared with GLP-1 receptor agonists (n = 57 613), was associated with a modestly reduced risk of new-onset AF.
