In accordance with this concept, an increase in the expression of DDIT4 at both the mRNA and protein levels has been observed in several types of cancer, such as colorectal carcinoma (CRC)31,32, bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC)22, oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC)33, ovarian cancer (OC)28,34, and gastric cancer (GC)27. Here, DDIT4 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
