VEGF can induce endothelial cell proliferation, and its high expression is related to tumor growth, metastasis and infiltration.13 According to Wu et al.14, the level of serum VEGF in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer decreased significantly after chemotherapy, indicating that the serum VEGF level of the patients is related to the efficacy of chemotherapy. Here, VEGFA is linked to metastatic colorectal cancer.
