Meanwhile, we found that when cuproptosis occurred in HCAECs, the mRNA expression levels of intracellular ATP7B, MTF1, NLRP3, AOC3 and MT1M were up-regulated, which were consistent with the trends in the levels of these genes in the peripheral blood of atherosclerosis patients according to the bioinformatics analysis results, suggesting that the development of atherosclerosis may be accompanied by the continuous exacerbation of cuproptosis process. Here, ATP7B is linked to atherosclerosis.
