Aqp3 siRNA (the effect was validated in vivo by AQP3 immunostaining, Figure S8) was delivered to skin and found to protect mice from LL37-induced skin inflammation, as evidenced by a decrease in areas of redness and IGA score, the number of dermis-infiltrating cells, and the expression levels of disease-specific markers (Figure 6B-E, Figure S9A).
