SOAT1 and neoplasm: After binding to the interferon-γ receptor, the signal transduced via the Janus Kinase-Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (JAK-STAT) pathway can activate or otherwise regulate the functional activity of mononuclear macrophages in other manners and induce the ability to kill various intracellular and extracellular microbial pathogens and tumor cells,9 which can promote the proliferation of T-lymphocytes and improve cellular immune function.
