ZDHHC3 and cardiomyopathy: Cardiac function and structure were evaluated by echocardiography, which revealed significant left ventricular dilation (Fig. 2G), systolic dysfunction (Fig. 2H), and impaired cardiac contraction and cardiomyopathy (Fig. 2I) in mice with cardiomyocyte-specific overexpression of Zdhhc3 but not in mice expressing the Zdhhc3DHHS mutant (Fig. 2, G–I).
