Notably, oral M. funiformis CML154 significantly attenuated hepatic steatosis (Fig. 3F), reduced the accumulation of hepatic and serum lipids (TG and TC) (Fig. 3G, H), and decreased the expression of lipid metabolism related genes such as HMGCR, LXRα, FXR and PPARγ (Fig. 3I). Here, PPARG is linked to fatty liver disease.
