Finally, the results obtained with the hERG1 channel blocker E4031 and scDb–hERG1–β1 (Fig 8) lead us to conclude that the role of hERG1 in the signaling pathway downstream to integrin activation in cancer cells is mainly related to the promotion of hERG1/β1 integrin complex formation, without a major contribution of K+ current. This evidence concerns the gene KCNH2 and cancer.
