To improve tumor tropism, chimeric group B oncolytic adenoviruses, like HAdV-5/3 (HAdV-5 pseudotypes with the HAdV-3 fiber), fully serotype 3 (27) or chimeric HAdV-11p/3 (Enadenotucirev) viruses were investigated because of their ability to use either CD46 (2) and/or desmoglein-2 (DSG2) (3) as their primary receptors. The gene discussed is CD46; the disease is neoplasm.
