Secukinumab is a high-affinity, fully humanized monoclonal immunoglobulin (Ig)G1κ antibody that selectively binds to IL-17A and blocks IL-17A from binding to its receptor, thereby controlling the progression of IL-17A-associated diseases, such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (65–68). This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and ankylosing spondylitis.
