We carried out multiple linear regression analysis to investigate independent associations (Table 4), which demonstrated that LRG1 level was an independent determinant for urinary albumin excretion, after being adjusted for age, sex, smoking, body mass index, systolic BP, hyperlipidemia, hs-CRP, duration of diabetes, HbA1c, use of ARB/ACEi, OHAs and insulin (β = 0.285, p < 0.001; Table 4).
