Both the anti-NAMPT pAb and ALT-100 mAb significantly reduced WTLI-mediated histologic features of lung injury, BAL protein levels, and BAL cell counts, compared with the PBS/IgG1 control (P < 0.05). In addition, the ALT-100 mAb significantly decreased trichrome blue staining (an indicator of lung fibrosis) and plasma IL-1β levels (P < 0.05). Here, IL1B is linked to pulmonary fibrosis.
