FSHB and endometriosis: Several studies have highlighted the association between single nucleotide variants (SNVs) and an increased risk of endometriosis in populations of different ethnic origins.(12-15) In a UK Biobank cross-sectional study, the T allele of the FSHB c.-211G>T polymorphism (rs10835638) was associated with detrimental effects on fertility and protective effects against endometriosis.(16)
