The numbers of genera that were directly correlated with Akkermansia were 8, 5, and 7 for PF, AF, and AF+IL-22 groups, respectively (Figure 5C; Blue, Akkermansia; Green, bacteria directly correlated with Akkermansia), suggesting that IL-22 drives gut microbiota toward a beneficial direction in the host favoring the improvement of alcoholic hepatitis. This evidence concerns the gene IL22 and atrial fibrillation.
