Participants who were overweight or obese (AOR: 2.15, 95%CI: 1.18 – 2.54), had diabetes mellitus (AOR: 2.63, 95%CI: 1.38 – 5.03), renal disease (AOR: 4.21, 95%CI: 1.04 – 16.98) and CD4 counts ≥ 201cells/μL (AOR: 1.21, 95%CI: 1.03 – 1.44) were more likely to have hypertension.
