After 10 days, the mice in each group were randomly divided into 2 groups: one group was intraperitoneally injected with a single dose of IL-8 at 0.05 mg/kg, while the other group was injected with the control reagent ddH2O. Impressively, knockdown of CD97 dramatically attenuated tumor formation induced by IL-8 in nude mice, as indicated by the smaller tumor volume (Fig. 5A,B) and lower tumor weight in the knockdown group (Fig. 5C).
