At present, the intervention of diabetic microangiopathy is mostly at the level of tertiary prevention, such as ACEI/ARB drugs and SGLT2 inhibitors for DKD [8], calcium dobesilate combined with laser photocoagulation and anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agent for DR [9, 10], anti-heart failure therapy for DCM [11]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
