GIP and Obesity: To take precautions against diet-induced obesity, Fukuoka et al. demonstrated that rice bran-derived, oil-soluble triterpene alcohol and sterol preparation (TASP) enhanced the efficiency of fat and attenuated diet-induced obesity via reducing the postprandial glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) content, which indicated that the enriched TASP product may be a promising approach to develop GIP-based obesity-controlling product (94).
