In search for a responsible mediator of Th17‐induced miR‐142‐5p‐driven enhanced invasiveness of cervical cancer cells, we identified the subunits C and D of the SDH complex whose expression and activity were reduced by rhIL‐17 or CM of Th17 cells and which may act in concert with other described miR‐142‐5p targets favoring cancer progression. The gene discussed is SDHB; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
