CCL2 and COVID-19: The concentrations of MCP-1, a chemokine that regulates the migration and infiltration of monocytes/macrophages, were two-fold increased in COVID-19 female (p < 0.01) patients at diagnosis and further increased in the post-COVID-19 female patients after 2.5 months from hospital admission (850.47 ± 468.33 pg/mL, p < 0.05, Table S3).
