Based on these findings, the FDA granted approval for neratinib in July 2017 for HER2-positive patients with EBC who had undergone intensive adjuvant therapy containing trastuzumab, and it was also approved in combination with capecitabine in February 2020 for patients with advanced or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer who have previously received two or more anti-HER2 regimens.
