Triamterene is an inhibitor of the TGR5 receptor that has been used in a variety of experiments investigating MDMA-induced hyperthermia [21], Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) [26], lung adenocarcinoma [27], and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) via the microbiota–bile acid–IL22 axis [28]. Here, IL22 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
