Interestingly, IL-8 is a cytokine secreted by pancreatic cancer cells in response to KRAS activation, and it is the main ligand for the IL-8RB/CXCR2 receptor of TANs, suggesting that anti-IL-8 antibodies might synergize with anti-PD-1 by inhibiting the chemotaxis of TANs [36]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
