Anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a rare type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) comprising four subtypes: anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive ALCL (ALK+ ALCL), ALK-negative ALCL (ALK− ALCL), primary cutaneous ALCL (pcALCL), and breast-implant-associated ALCL (BIA-ALCL) [1]. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
