Similar results were obtained for sensitivities at fixed specificities of 90% (Sens90) and 95% (Sens95), with HMGB1 and HMGB1/sRAGE showing the highest Sens90, between 36.5% and 41.3%, as well as the highest Sens95, between 23.0% and 34.7%, for ROCs with malignancies as classifier, while respective values of Sens90 (9.2–11.5%) and Sens95 (6.9%) were lower in the differentiation between healthy and benign cases. This evidence concerns the gene HMGB1 and cancer.
