In a study of 34 osteosarcoma tumor samples, chromothripsis events were associated with recurrent mutations in the TP53, RB1, MYC, and PTEN pathways, alongside mutations in ATRX, LSAMP-AS3, CCNE1, COPS3, PMP22, MAPK7, NCOR1, and UBB [54,62]. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and osteosarcoma.
