USP53 induces apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells through deubiquitination of cytochrome C [8] and is a tumor suppressive factor in esophageal carcinoma [9], lung adenocarcinoma [10], and renal clear cell carcinoma [11], but it has a significant inhibitory effect on the radiosensitivity of human cervical cancer [12]. Here, USP53 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
