More analysis are necessary to investigate the molecular mechanism that controls IMP1 expression in PDAC tissue; however, as reported in other human cancers, it is possible that, in addition to regulation at the level of transcription, IMP1 is tightly regulated at post-transcriptional levels by miRNAs such as let-7 or other RBPs such as LIN28, two molecules involved in the progression of PDAC [25,26,27,28]. This evidence concerns the gene LIN28A and cancer.
