A higher occurrence of the SNP DAB2IP rs7025486[A] was detected in AAA patients with arterial hypertension (p < 0.001 with OR 3.295, 95% CI [1.704–6.374]) while a significantly higher occurrence of the SNP LRP1 rs1466535[T] was found in patients with a family history of AAA (p = 0.005; OR 3.275, 95% CI [1.390–7.717]) when compared to the control group. Here, LRP1 is linked to triple-A syndrome.
