The Gβγ subunit of heterotrimeric G proteins blocks TRPM3, leading to pain reduction and providing insights into the pain-relieving mechanisms of opioid analgesics [131].TRPM3 has VUS variants associated with developmental and epileptic encephalopathy and trigeminal neuralgia (shown in Table 1) [22,132].
