This study revealed that the presence of HPV16 and 18 oncogenes significantly alter the expression of CCL28, CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL3, CXCL6, CXCL8, CXCL10, and CXCL11; overexpression of those chemokines was also confirmed in cervical cancer biopsies. The gene discussed is CXCL3; the disease is cervical cancer.
