Although our data bring valuable information about the association between diabetes and HFDs on ovarian dynamics, some limitations can be pointed out, such as the presence of biometric parameters for evaluating a possible catch-up growth in the offspring of diabetic mothers and the evaluation of other proteins involved in mitochondrial dynamics such as Drp1, MFN1, and OPA1, which could not be evaluated in this study. This evidence concerns the gene OPA1 and diabetes mellitus.
