Female offspring exposed to maternal HFD j showed more severe lymphocyte infiltration (p < 0.05), elevated inflammatory NF-KB signaling (p < 0.01), TNFa protein level (p < 0.05) and a trend towards decreased p-Akt (p < 0.1) in pancreatic tissue, impaired glucose tolerance (p < 0.05) and lower serum insulin levels (p < 0.05).
