Using a comprehensive study on the basis of large-scale clinical samples, including 18 datasets of 2320 patients with CRC from the TCGA and GEO databases, a recent study established the CAF-derived long non-coding RNA (CAFDL) signature in the TCGA-CRC training set, evaluated its predictive significance, and demonstrated that CAFDL was significantly positively associated with TGF-β1 [85]. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
