Additionally, a few publications have shown a functional link between CD13 and integrins: Carrascal et al. demonstrated that the expression of CD13 is associated with that of integrin αvβ3 in breast cancer [20], and Ghosh et al. [21] showed that CD13 modulates the trafficking of integrin β1 via IQGAP, ARF6, and EFA6 in Kaposi sarcoma and human cervical cancer epithelial cells. This evidence concerns the gene ANPEP and breast carcinoma.
