TGF-β is a pleiotropic cytokine that regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, tissue homeostasis, motility, invasion, extracellular matrix production, angiogenesis, epithelial to mesenchyme transition (EMT), chemoresistance, and immune response in various cancers, including GBM [17,18].
