Based on the above-mentioned evidence that activation of the h-PGDS-PGD2-DP signal axis could be beneficial for the treatment of inflammation disorders, we hypothesized that modulation of h-PGDS-PGD2 activation by active compounds may be a novel strategy for alleviating influenza virus-triggered severe pneumonia and lung injury. The gene discussed is HPGDS; the disease is susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
