We found that sorafenib upregulated BCL2 expression in leukemia cells, while JAK-STAT3 inhibition decreased the expression of BCL2 induced by sorafenib, suggesting that leukemia cells upregulate the expression of BCL2 through the JAK-STAT3 pathway, leading to resistance to sorafenib (Figure 6e–f). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and leukemia.
