Using bioinformatics analysis, Zhang et al. found that in blood specimens from stroke patients, ERS-related genes were mainly enriched in immune-related pathways, especially neutrophil activation, and Th17 cell differentiation, and ERS-related proteins specifically included the hypoxia-inducible factor family and cAMP-response element-binding protein (CREB) family [70].
